Hide and seek

Sitting, waiting, ready for them to say go,
I sprint down the gravel path,
prickles poking in my hand.
Come, get in the bush.
Quiet.  Cars race past.
Do they think were escaped from school?
Don't breathe.
Don't scream.
Don't turn around.
Shhh.
You look around nervously
Your legs are stiff.
Why did we hide here?
Don't move the leaves.
Children run,
hiding in the bushes.
Now we've been found.
I shouldn't have hid here.
Well that was fun, but I'm going to win tomorrow.

  1. I like how you said I shouldn't have hid there, then you stop being negative and be positive by saying Well that was fun, but I'm going to win tomorrow.
I can relate to this because when I was playing hide and seek, when I got found I said something positive. Nice work Ruby!
    From Gabz!
